Novel Voz Performs In Powell River

The highly acclaimed Cuban a cappella group, Novel Voz, completed a three day stint in Powell River. Their first Performance was at A Noteworthy Event, hosted by Al and Arlene Carsten at their beautiful property north of Powell River at Okeover, Sunday, June 10, 2007. On Monday, June 11, 2007, they performed concert/workshops at two schools, and then an evening performance in The Max Cameron Theatre at Brooks Secondary School. They were tremendous, and well received by the students at the schools and the concert audience on Monday night. Many thanks to Jonathan Watts (Cuba/Toronto), President of Canada-Cuba Sports and Cultural Festivals; and Dan Mattison, Executive Director of Coastal Sound Music Academy Society (Burnaby) for their part in making this tour happen.
